You may have noticed that across the market, there are varying shapes of trampoline available. These differing shapes all have their advantages and disadvantages. Detailed below are the various things you should look out for when selecting a trampoline shape.
- Round Trampolines - These are the most popular shaped home trampoline, and offer great performance and value for money. Circular trampolines are well suited to beginners/younger children, as they are designed to always bounce you back into the centre of the trampoline, allowing the user to gain spatial awareness.
- Oval Trampolines - Rather than bouncing the user back into the centre of the jump bed, an Oval trampoline has 2 seperate bounce areas at each end of the trampoline, making it more suited to multiple jumpers. The bounce on an oval trampoline is better than on a round trampoline.
- Rectangular Trampolines - The original trampoline shape, still used in competitions and sports halls across the globe. Due to the design of the frame, and tension points around the trampoline, you will always get a superior bounce on a rectangular trampoline.
